Pontiac, Mich.—St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) will commemorate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October with several free activities, including an educational presentation and an art exhibit. “An Enlightened Conversation on Your Personal Breast Health Journey” will be presented from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in the hospital’s Franco Communications Center. The special celebration will be an educational and inspirational evening for current breast cancer patients, survivors, family members, friends, anyone who has been touched by breast cancer and those who just want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The evening also will feature a showing of the Lilly Oncology on Canvas Art Exhibit. The art exhibit will continue Oct. 22 through 30 in the hospital’s Atrium, Oncology inpatient unit and the Alice Gustafson Center lobby on the hospital campus.
