Share your heart and help others heal
St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) is always in need of caring individuals who can
volunteer to help in various areas of the hospital. We consider each volunteer
to be an integral part of our health care team.
We’d like to hear from you
If you enjoy meeting people and enjoy caring for
those who truly appreciate your assistance and goodwill, we’d like
to hear from you. SJMO Volunteers contribute in four-hour shifts during
the daytime, evenings or weekends.
Once you call us, we will help you get acclimated in every way that we can, and we will provide a complete hospital orientation as well as on-the-job training.
Rewarding for a lifetime
Volunteers are needed to staff the Heart
Center,
the Emergency Center, the surgical waiting rooms, the Imaging Center and
many other important areas of the hospital, including our parenting and hospice
programs. Within
minutes of starting your first shift, you will feel the warmth and
goodwill you personally create reflected back upon you and instantly feel
rewarded by the important work you are doing.
