The Elliott M. Estes Heart Center is the home of many cardiovascular services at the Heart Institute. This 33,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility brings together some of the most talented board-certified cardiovascular specialists in the country. The Heart Institute links these physicians with nursing professionals and other clinicians driven by excellence in patient care to create a medical team that is a cardiac leader.

This medical team provides cardiac services from diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms and cardiac stress tests to cardiac surgery. The Heart Institute also provides access to the most advanced devices, drugs and treatments available through its ever-expanding research.

When minutes count, the Heart Institute leads the way
When treating heart attack victims, minutes count. Faster treatment means less heart damage and a lower chance of severe disability. With state-of-the-art equipment and a continuous investment in advancing skills and techniques, the Heart Institute medical team continues to lead the way. In a 2005 independent research study of participating hospitals, results show the medical team at the Heart Institute restores blood flow to the heart faster than any medical team in the state of Michigan.
