Benefactor Organizations
There are two organizations for supporters of St. Joseph Mercy Oakland: the McAuley Club and the Mercy Heritage Society.
The McAuley Club
Membership in the McAuley Club is extended to those who
provide significant financial resources to support the mission of St. Joseph
Mercy Oakland. Members receive benefits like private rooms, access to the
educational resource center and medical library, and special programs, lectures
and seminars.
Membership is available at three levels: annual member ($2,000 a year), life member ($20,000 payable over five years) or honorary member (lifetime gifts of $100,000 or above).
Gifts contributed to the McAuley Club are designated for use by the president of St. Joseph Mercy Oakland to meet the most urgent needs of the hospital. A report is presented to members and prospective members of the McAuley Club at the annual Appreciation Dinner.
The Mercy Heritage Society
The Mercy Heritage Society recognizes those who remember
St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in their estate plan through a will bequest, life
insurance, real estate, retirement accounts or other life income vehicles.
Support through membership in the Mercy Heritage Society provides St. Joseph Mercy Oakland with significant endowment income needed to meet the community’s current and future health care needs.
