Cancer

We believe cancer care should be centered on the whole patient, not just the cancer itself. That’s why our remarkable patient experience is centered around a team approach. In one scheduled visit, patients meet with a variety of cancer specialists to fast-track treatment plans and avoid delays by waiting for individual appointments.

Care this good should be this close.

Saint Joseph Mercy Health System is one of Michigan’s most advanced cancer providers. We were the first to bring CyberKnife® radio surgery technology to the state, we provide the latest clinical research trials and our multidisciplinary team approach provides the highest quality patient outcomes.

With comprehensive Cancer Centers in Ann Arbor, Brighton, Canton, Chelsea, Livonia, Pontiac and Port Huron, our physicians and clinical experts are committed to providing patients with the latest technology close to home. We realize that driving long distances for continued treatment can be a hardship. That’s why we provide a full range of medical and radiation services and infusion therapies in several convenient locations. Your time and energy should be used to focus solely on the healing process.

Leading the way in research

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) considers us a model Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP). St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital, is the lead institution in the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium, one of 50 programs nationwide. Nationally, we partner with top cancer centers in clinical trials, such as M.D. Anderson and Mayo Clinic.

From 2010-2012 St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor was among only 14 sites selected by the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health, to join a national network of community cancer centers offering expanded research opportunities and state-of-the-art cancer care. The NCCCP network is designed to create new research opportunities across the cancer continuum from screening and treatment to follow-up care, with an emphasis on minority and underserved populations.

Mercy Cancer Network

As one of Michigan’s largest cancer care networks, the Mercy Cancer Network delivers advanced medicine to local communities, offering the latest in cancer diagnostics, clinical research trials and therapeutic technology.
