Suh Lim – PGY 5

Suh hails all the way from Malaysia and completed her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College. She began her surgical residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in 2012. In her free time, she enjoys DIY arts and crafts, gardening (although most of her plants tend to wilt away), trying food from different cultures as she does have keen exotic taste buds. She would have been on the quest for bizarre food with Andrew Zimmern if she wasn't in surgery residency but her passion in surgery is too great for her to even consider that option.

Rachel Sell – PGY 5

Rachel was raised in the small logging town of Seabeck, Washington before making the trek to Hillsdale College in Michigan to study German. Despite relishing opportunities to study abroad in W?rzburg, Germany she was unable to shake a nagging fascination with the most humanistic of studies and moved to Detroit to pursue medicine at Wayne State University. She was thrilled to be accepted into a surgical residency at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, and is currently in her fourth year of residency. Here she has found a small community hospital which couples traditional surgical training with a plethora of leadership opportunities and chances to make a difference in the systems which drive the day to day care of her patients. She is excited to begin applications to Trauma/Critical Care Fellowships in the spring. In her spare time she enjoys her family, cooking, and cheering for the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders!
